My Story

My story started 11 years ago after my husband and I welcomed our first little girl into the world. After the haze (and rather painful post birth symptoms) of the newborn bubble settled down, we both decided that the best choice for us as a family, was for me to stay at home instead of returning to work. The prospect of being able to be with our girl, filled me with so much joy, but I did wonder what I would do alongside raising her. The answer to my pondering came quickly and simply. “Paint”.

And with that, paint was what I did.

Since then, I’ve explored a variety of different mediums and subjects, digging deep into the chapters of my story and honing in on the areas that I want to continue to grow in.

The culmination of these years creating, exploring and painting, have led me here.

A combination of organic watercolour movement, illustrative wildflowers, a delicate touch of gold with subtle marked lines.

This marks the beginning of a new season and a new story.

One that I’m ready to tell and one that I look forward to sharing with you.

My hope is that these and future paintings will evoke a reminder to pause. A reminder to stop and take a moment where you can admire the details, the colours, and the textures. I hope that as this is practiced, it will seep out into daily life; pausing, noticing and admiring beauty in everyday.
